English Classes

At the moment, our English classes and befriending sessions are online.  Since March 2020 we have held over 1,000, attended by over 300 students.

Coronavirus 

Receive up to date posters about coronavirus in easy English.  We share them on Facebook and on our What's App Broadcast, which reaches over 500 students. Talk about it on our What's App Group, with a befriender or in a class.

Befrienders

Learn English with a befriender (by Zoom, What's App, phone or email).  We currently have over 30 active befrienderrs. Watch a video of Befriender Mary talking to Souzana about coronavirus

 

Community

Practise English whilst exploring Hull

and joining in community projects

Walk and Talk

nature walks in Hull, with Andrew from Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

 

Short Courses

For example, English for Driving, English for Working in a Warehouse, Basic Literacy, Craft and Sewing,  Gardening, English for Computers and Guitar.  

Borrow books from our lending library. 

Celebrate special occasions, like Eid, Christmas and Chinese New Year.
